H.O.P.E. honored by Good Folks
Good Folks of York County gathered for its annual banquet Wednesday with the hope of raising $85,000. The recipients are Family Promise of York County, the Rock Hill Parks Foundation and Helping Others Progress Through Education, or H.O.P.E.

H.O.P.E. (HELPING OTHERS PROGRESS THROUGH EDUCATION) is a charitable and educational organization whose mission is to educate, empower, and support children and young adults in the local community of Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Q: Can I donate the materials themselves rather than make a cash donation?
Yes we accept the materials themselves such as book bags, school supplies, food, and etc.
Q: Are gifts tax-deductible?
As a 501(c)3 charity, donations are tax deductible to the full extent of US law. Contact Tashica Thompson for our federal tax ID #.
Q: How did H.O.P.E. start?
Tashica Thompson, an accountant from Rock Hill, SC who grew up in low income areas wanted to educate and empower the local communities of her hometown. She created Helping Others Progress through Education in 2013 to educate and empower children and their families by teaching them the importance of education, supplying book-bags school supplies, and food.
